CSD 324. SECONDARY EDUCATION. Principles and evaluation techniques, including practical experiences. 3 credits
PSY 313. PSYCHOLOGY OF ADOLESCENCE. Life and development of youth; methods of dealing with problems of adolescence. 3 credits
EPY 341. EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY. Psychological principles underlying processes of teaching. Prerequisite: PSY 101. 3 credits
CSP 340. SURVEY OF THE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD. Characteristics, needs, and developmental problems of exceptional children. Prerequisite for all other courses in Special Education. 3 credits

CUR 300. SURVEY OF EDUCATION WITH FIELD EXPERIENCE. An historical and sociological survey of education, including supervised visitation in teaching-learning environments. Prerequisite to admission to Teacher Education Program. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours. 3 credits
CUR 482. ART EDUCATION TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURES. Most recent practices recommended by art educators; give prospective art teachers training and experience in planning art programs, organization of material, ordering of supplies, and equipping an art room. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education Program. 3 credits
CUR 498. DIRECTED TEACHING. Twelve consecutive weeks of full-time teaching under the supervision of an experienced teacher. Prerequisite: See Student Teaching DSU catalogue page 215. 12 credits
