ART 176. THREE-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN II. Visual problems solving techniques through the use of various processes and materials. Acquaintance with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance of equipment. Prerequisite:ART 175. Lecture-laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits

ART 275. SCULPTURE I. Additive process over armatures using a variety of mediums. Simple and multi-piece moldmaking procedures. Prerequisite: ART 175. Lecture-laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits

ART 276. SCULPTURE II. Arc and oxy/acetylene welding using steel as a sculptural material. Prerequisite: ART 175. Lecture-laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits

ART 475. SCULPTURE III. Subtractive stone carving techniques. Direct stone carving using hand and air pneumatic power tools emphasizing roughing-out, finishing, and polishing techniques. Prerequisite: ART 175. Laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits

ART 476. SCULPTURE IV.
Wood carving and lamination. Additive and subtractive wood techniques including gluing and clamping, carving, and finishing. Prerequisite: ART 175. Laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits

ART 477. SCULPTURE V. Contemporary sculpture techniques emphasizing outdoor, installation, and environmental aspects. Prerequisites: ART 176, 276. Laboratory 6 hours. 3 credits


Elect 12 Studio Hours: studio hours can be any art studio class the student wishes to take that is not in their major or minor.
ART 498. ART SEMINAR. Directed individual problems in art of particular interest to students of advanced levels of development. Prerequisite: junior or senior art major standing. 3 credits

ART 499. SENIOR THESIS.
Exit interview with Art Faculty and Senior Exhibit. Required of all concentrations except Graphic Design and Art Education. 3 credits
